Adam and Trista had been together three and a half years by the time he proposed, so the element of surprise was quickly fleeting. They had already talked about future plans together, so if he had taken her on a weekend getaway or for a romantic dinner, she would have known a proposal was coming. So instead, when Trista returned home from the gym after thinking Adam had to work late, she walked in through the kitchen and into their dark living room and there he was, down on one knee, in his very best navy suit with a ring box in his hands. Of course she said yes!
After seeing the ballrooms at SKY Armory as a blank canvas with open floor plans, bistro lights, chiavari chairs and exposed brick they knew SKY was the clear choice. "SKY was the one venue where everyone was friendly and willing to take the time to speak with us" - Trista.
Throughout the planning process, they knew to stick to what was important to them as a couple- a party with great food, great drinks and awesome music! It was important to them that no one left bored or hungry. Trista and Adam went for an enchanted garden vibe with a lot of candle light and greenery. While they both really enjoyed the tasting event, their favorite moment was by far the big day! Walking into the reception space and seeing it dressed up with all of their personal items and decor was the buttercream icing on their lemon blueberry meringue cake.
